Chopping celery is such an important part of cooking. It’s how we add crunch to our Waldorf Salad and add flavor to soups. But is there a way to chop celery faster?
Fortunately, there is! Although celery has a curve on one side, the other side is naturally perfectly stable for cutting. Always start with a clean knife, cutting board and a towel.

Step by Step Instructions on How to Dice Celery
Step 1: Chop off the top and bottom of the stalk. You can also slice off any leafy off shoots.
Step 2: Starting at the bottom, make 2 slices about 1/3 up the celery stalk. You should end up with 3 evenly sized strands.
Step 3: Chop all of the strands at once
Step 4: Slice most of the stalk in half, making sure to save about 2 inches at the top. You can the two halves to stay connects.
Step 5: Chop the halves together.
Step 6: Holding the remaining celery in between your thumb and pointer fingers, cut what’s left of the celery in half and then slice the 2 halves together. (They will be 2 separate pieces in this step.)
And there you go. Chopped celery in half the time. Now, go enjoy your Waldorf salad.
