Common Questions

The kits are aimed for chefs ages 3-7, but kids of all ages can participate. All of the cooking tasks are appropriate for preschool aged kids, although the level that each child can participate will vary. Our recipes are 100% illustrated so that pre-readers can easily follow along.

We use healthy, plant-based ingredients, like fresh produce, low-fat dairy and whole grain products. You’ll never find refined sugar, butter or meat in any of our kits.

Picky eaters are our specialty! It can take over 20 tries before a child is ready to enjoy a new food. We try to expose kids to some new ingredients (like tofu and spinach) while still serving up their favorites. Cooking is an excellent way to introduce kids to new foods, even if they aren’t quite ready to taste it…yet.

We recommend having a cutting board and a child safe knife, since our recipes encourage cutting softer ingredients. Some other things to have handy are: spoons, forks, bowls, pots and baking pans.

We aim for meals to take 30-40 minutes from fridge to table. When you get your first kit, it may take a bit longer, but once your kids become kitchen pros, they’ll have dinner ready in no time.

Nope! We deliver between 10:00 am – 2:30 pm. We can leave our insulated bags with ice packs by your door if you’re not home.

We use only fresh ingredients, so it’s best to put your meal kit in the fridge until you’re ready to cook. The food is best if used within 3 days

We are committed to using sustainable packaging. Your bag, ice packs and containers are all reusable, so please don’t discard them! Simply leave your bag with the containers and ice packs at the door and we’ll pick them up the next time we deliver to you.

All of our meals are nut-free, but at this time we cannot accommodate any allergies.

Our subscription runs on a weekly basis, so you can cancel at anytime. If you’re going out of town, we offer a few options. You can either reschedule delivery for a different day, gift your kit to a friend, or skip the delivery entirely and not be charged at all. All changes must be made by the FRIDAY before in order for us to process it.
